GBA works on connecting Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn, and Curtis Bay neighborhoods to each other and to the many green resources found within the Patapsco/Back River basin.​

Park Improvements
GBA creates cleaning and greening, beautification and community engagement opportunities for our green spaces. GBA recently installed an entrance arch at Garrett Park.
At Farring Baybrook Park, GBA installed lighting and implemented path improvements.

Friends of Groups
GBA has developed a systematic, community-based approach to achieve lasting solutions to environmental and public health concerns that we are now applying in Farring Baybrook Park and in the Masonville Cove Watershed. Working in partnership with Baltimore City Recreation and Parks, residents create welcoming park spaces and positive experiences with nature at the neighborhood level.

Strong community engagement, and committed, trusting partnerships resulted in the creation of a truly comprehensive plan that addresses both social and environmental needs, mapping community assets and challenges and selecting 9 potential sites in need of a “green makeover.”
