GBA supports the commercial revitilizaton in the Baybrook community by administering the commercial capital grant program called the Baybrook Retail Improvement Grant as well as by offering technical assistance to business owners in the region.
Baybrook Retail Improvement Grant (BRIG)
provides businesses grant funds for improvements and design assistance to upgrade commercial properties, such as lighting, signage, doors and windows. The program improves sales and the economic performance of the neighborhood, increases foot traffic, improves the commercial real estate stock, and adds safety features like lighting to the shopping corridors. Technical Assistance is a broad program that represents a persistent commitment to meeting the regions business owners where they are at to provide services most suited for their situation and most likely to increase their capacity and profitability. Services offered in GBA's technical assistance program have included website design, SEO coaching, business and marketing plan support, connecting business owners to external grants and helping them through the application process, and conflict resolution.
