In 2016, Strong City Baltimore gathered stakeholders from the Brooklyn, Curtis Bay,
and Brooklyn Park neighborhoods to create the Greater Baybrook Vision and Action Plan.
Building on past planning efforts in both Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County and input
from diverse partners, a Steering Committee created a long-term revitalization roadmap.
The Vision and Action Plan process reviewed and incorporated past local, city, and state,
reports. The planning process included input from over 100 Baybrook residents, businesses,
nonprofits, government agencies, religious institutions, and elected officials.
The finalized plan called for the establishment of Greater Baybrook Alliance, an anchor
community development organization, to advocate and implement the plan with a long-term
revitalization roadmap. This roadmap addresses housing, economic development,
transportation, quality of life, and other opportunities in the Greater Baybrook peninsula.
